Search and rescue costs

Search and rescue costs are expenses for search, rescue, and recovery operations following an accident — for example, a helicopter deployment in the mountains or a water rescue. Many accident insurance policies cover these costs up to an agreed maximum. Without insurance, rescue operations can cost several thousand to tens of thousands of euros.
