Natural hazard damage

Natural hazard damage refers to losses caused by natural events such as flooding, backwater, earthquakes, subsidence, landslides, snow pressure, avalanches, or volcanic eruptions. It is not automatically included in standard household contents insurance and must be added as an optional "Elementarschutz" module. Given increasingly frequent extreme weather events, this cover is becoming more important.
