Damage caused during a favour

Damage during a favour occurs when someone helps a friend or neighbour — for example with a move — and accidentally causes damage in the process. Under civil law, liability is often limited in such cases, as an implied exclusion of liability may be assumed for informal favours. Many liability policies exclude or limit cover for such damage — it is worth reading the fine print carefully.
