Motor third-party liability insurance

Motor liability insurance (Kfz-Haftpflicht) is mandatory in Germany for all registered vehicles. It covers damages you cause to other people or their property with your vehicle. Damages to your own car are not included — that is covered by Teilkasko or Vollkasko.
