Post-expiry liability coverage

Post-expiry liability coverage refers to the period after a policy ends during which an insurer remains liable for damages that occurred during the policy period but are only reported or discovered afterwards. Particularly relevant in personal and professional liability insurance. The post-expiry period is typically 3–5 years depending on the policy.
