Personal liability insurance

Personal liability insurance (Privathaftpflicht) protects you if you accidentally cause damage to others — for example, breaking a friend's expensive device or injuring someone while cycling. In Germany, anyone who causes damage is personally liable with their entire assets. This insurance covers justified claims and defends against unjustified ones.
