Legal expenses insurance (Rechtsschutzversicherung) covers the costs of legal disputes — lawyer fees, court costs, and possibly opposing party costs. Depending on the plan, it may cover traffic, rental, employment or a combination. It makes the financial risk of a dispute with a landlord or employer manageable.
