Cancellation fees

Cancellation fees are charges levied by a tour operator or airline when a booked trip is cancelled. The amount depends on how close to the departure date the cancellation occurs: the closer the travel date, the higher the fee — up to 100% of the trip price shortly before departure. Trip cancellation insurance reimburses these fees for covered reasons.
