Criminal legal protection

Criminal legal protection covers the costs of criminal defence when an investigation or criminal trial is initiated against the insured. It only applies to negligent acts, not intentional offences. If the insured is convicted of an intentional offence, the legal costs must generally be repaid. Criminal legal protection is often included in comprehensive legal insurance packages.
