Comprehensive car insurance (Vollkasko) is the most extensive form of vehicle coverage in Germany. It covers damages to third parties as well as damages to your own vehicle, including self-caused accidents, vandalism, and hit-and-run incidents. It is generally recommended for new or high-value vehicles.
