Vehicle registration certificate

The Zulassungsbescheinigung is the official document that registers a vehicle for road use in Germany. It consists of two parts: Part I (vehicle registration card) lists the owner and technical data; Part II (vehicle title) proves ownership. For car insurance purposes, Part I is the relevant document.
